The 155mm Cellcore HX B Under Beam series protects reinforced concrete ground beams and pile caps from upward pressures caused by ground heave.

Each 155mm Cellcore HX B grade is engineered to support a specific concrete thickness, plus a live load allowance of 1.5 kN/m2, with minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is termed the "SAFE LOAD."
When the predetermined load is reached, the polystyrene legs of the Cordek panels yield and collapse due to upward ground movement, known as the "FAIL LOAD."
During structural design, the slab, beam, or pile cap must be engineered to handle the difference between its self-weight and the fail load.
