This 155mm Cellcore HX B range protects reinforced concrete ground beams and pile caps from the upward pressures caused by ground heave.

Each 155mm Cellcore HX B grade is engineered to support a specific concrete thickness, plus a live load allowance of 1.5 kN/m2, with minimal creep compression over a 16-hour curing period. This is the "SAFE LOAD."
When the predetermined load is reached, the polystyrene legs of the Cordek panels will yield and collapse as ground movement occurs—this is called the "FAIL LOAD."
During structural design, the slab, beam, or pile cap must be engineered to handle the difference between its self-weight and the fail load.
