Water Vapour Resistance

EcoTherm recommends conducting a Condensation Risk Analysis (CRA) for every project. The 120mm insulation boards must be positioned above a Vapour Control Layer (VCL) or sealed metal deck. Reference BS 5250: 2021 (Management of moisture in buildings. Code of practice) and BS 6229: 2018 (Flat roofs with continuously supported flexible waterproof coverings. Code of practice) for additional guidance.

Fire Performance

For fire safety compliance routes, consult the relevant Building Regulations/Standards for England, Wales and Scotland. Under System 4 AVCP, Inno-Torch achieves a Euroclass rating of F. Additional materials can be positioned above the insulation layer within a roofing system, including waterproofing materials, reinforcement layers, primers and carrier membranes. These additional materials complete the roofing system. The fire performance of a roofing system is predominantly determined by these finishes.
