Preparation

Deploy netting on scaffolding to prevent polystyrene debris from wind dispersal. We recommend hot knife or hot wire cutters to minimise polystyrene offcuts, though standard knives work if necessary. Ideally, perform cutting of 70mm EPS insulation boards in covered areas to prevent offcut scatter.

EPS Insulation Application

Install EPS insulation boards strictly according to manufacturer installation guidelines covering all design and application specifications. Begin by fixing EPS boards to substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive or mechanical fixings.

Following substrate attachment to external walls, apply a protective outer layer such as mortar basecoat or netting to shield against excessive heat, moisture, and UV damage.
