Preparation

Deploy netting on scaffolding to prevent polystyrene debris dispersal during windy conditions. We strongly advise using hot knife or hot wire cutters to minimise polystyrene offcuts; standard knives work if necessary. Ideally, cut the 60mm EPS insulation boards under cover to keep offcuts contained.

EPS Insulation Application

Always follow EPS insulation boards manufacturer installation instructions, addressing all design and application requirements. Begin by securing EPS boards to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive or mechanical fixings.

Once boards are affixed to external walls, apply a protective outer layer such as mortar basecoat or netting to guard against excessive heat, moisture, and UV damage.
