Preparation

Deploy netting on scaffolding to prevent polystyrene debris dispersal during windy conditions. We strongly recommend hot knife or hot wire cutting equipment to minimise polystyrene offcuts; standard knives work if necessary. Ideally, cut EPS insulation boards within a sheltered area to avoid offcuts becoming airborne.

EPS Insulation Application

Always follow the manufacturer's complete installation guidelines for EPS insulation boards, covering all design and application requirements. Begin by securing EPS boards to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive or mechanical fixings.

Following substrate attachment to external walls, apply a protective outer layer such as mortar basecoat or netting to shield against excessive heat, moisture, and UV damage.
