Preparation

Deploy netting on scaffolding to prevent polystyrene debris from wind dispersal. We strongly advise using hot knife or hot wire cutters to minimise polystyrene offcuts, though standard knives work if necessary. Ideally, cut 140mm EPS insulation boards in covered areas to keep offcuts contained.

EPS Insulation Application

Install EPS insulation boards strictly per manufacturer guidelines, addressing all design and application requirements. Begin by securing EPS boards to the substrate (masonry or timber) with mortar/adhesive or mechanical fixings.

After fixing boards to external walls, apply a protective outer layer such as mortar basecoat or netting to shield against heat, moisture, and UV damage.
