Preparation

Deploy netting on scaffolding to prevent polystyrene debris dispersal during windy conditions. We strongly advise using hot knife or hot wire cutters to minimise polystyrene waste generation, though standard knives work if necessary. Ideally, perform cutting of 110mm EPS insulation boards under cover to avoid offcuts scattering.

EPS Insulation Application

Always follow EPS insulation boards manufacturer installation specifications, addressing all design and application requirements. Initially, secure EPS boards to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive or mechanical fixings.

After securing boards to external walls, protect them with an outer layer such as mortar basecoat or netting, safeguarding against excessive heat, moisture, and UV damage.
