90mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) represents a premium expanded polystyrene (EPS) board incorporating integrated graphite particles that deliver a distinctive grey appearance. The graphite content within the insulation beads reflects radiant heat, boosting thermal performance by up to 20% compared to standard 90mm white EPS insulation of equivalent thickness. This 90mm rigid EPS closed-cell insulation contains trapped air within each bead, and because air conducts heat poorly, it substantially reduces heat transfer rates.
Graphite particles distributed throughout the cell structure of 90mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) boards create reflective properties and a striking dark grey finish. When radiant heat passes through the 90mm graphite insulation, multiple reflections occur, significantly decelerating heat transfer and maximising energy efficiency.
Within 90mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) boards, warm air follows an indirect path towards cooler air, reducing heat transfer speed and maintaining warmer internal conditions. This delivers an improved thermal conductivity of 0.031 W/mK, surpassing standard 90mm expanded polystyrene boards.

Installation
The 90mm EPS boards are initially secured to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive, mechanical fixings, or a hybrid approach.
The 90mm expanded polystyrene boards must then be protected with an outer finish, such as cladding or a mortar layer.
The board surface requires rasping or sanding to establish a textured finish before application of fiber mesh, onto which the base coat or mortar is applied.
Certifications
Produced in accordance with EN-13163 Standard.
