40mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) is a premium expanded polystyrene (EPS) board featuring integrated graphite particles that deliver a distinctive grey appearance. The graphite infusion enhances thermal performance by up to 20% compared to standard 40mm white EPS insulation boards of equivalent thickness. This rigid closed-cell EPS formulation traps air within each bead, and because air resists heat conduction effectively, it substantially reduces heat transfer rates.
The graphite particles embedded throughout the 40mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) structure create a reflective surface and striking dark grey finish. When radiant heat passes through the 40mm graphite insulation, multiple reflections occur, dramatically slowing heat movement and boosting overall energy efficiency.
Within 40mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) boards, warm air travels an indirect path toward cooler zones, which decelerates heat transfer and maintains interior warmth. This design achieves superior thermal conductivity of 0.031 W/mK, outperforming conventional 40mm expanded polystyrene boards.

Installation
The 40mm EPS boards are secured to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive, mechanical fixings, or a hybrid approach.
The 40mm expanded polystyrene boards require an outer protective layer, such as render or siding.
The board surface must be rasped or sanded to achieve a textured finish before applying fiber mesh, followed by base coat or mortar application.
Certifications
