30mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) is premium expanded polystyrene (EPS) featuring integrated graphite particles that deliver superior thermal performance. The graphite infusion enhances insulation capability by approximately 20% compared to standard 30mm white EPS insulation of equivalent thickness. This rigid closed-cell insulation board traps air within each cell structure, effectively reducing heat transfer through its poor thermal conductivity properties.
The integrated graphite particles within 30mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) boards create a reflective surface that bounces radiant heat back, significantly slowing thermal transmission and boosting energy efficiency. The distinctive dark grey colour indicates the presence of these reflective particles throughout the board's composition.
Within 30mm Grey Polystyrene (Graphite) boards, warm air follows a longer path towards cooler zones, substantially reducing heat movement and maintaining interior warmth. This construction delivers improved thermal conductivity of 0.031 W/mK, outperforming conventional 30mm expanded polystyrene alternatives.

Installation
The 30mm EPS boards are initially fixed to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive, mechanical fixings, or a combination of both.
The 30mm expanded polystyrene boards should then be covered with an outer layer, such as siding or a mortar layer.
The outer surface of the board needs to be rasped or sanded to create an abrasive surface before covering it with fiber mesh, to which the base coat or mortar layer is applied.
