120mm White Polystyrene (Graphite) represents a premium expanded polystyrene (EPS) board featuring integrated graphite particles that deliver superior thermal performance. The graphite infusion within the foam structure reflects radiant heat effectively, whilst the closed-cell rigid construction traps air to minimise heat transmission through the material.
Graphite-enhanced 120mm White Polystyrene boards incorporate reflective particles throughout their cell matrix, creating a distinctive White appearance. As thermal energy passes through the 120mm graphite insulation, multiple reflections occur, substantially reducing heat transfer and boosting overall energy efficiency.
Within 120mm White Polystyrene (Graphite) boards, warm air follows an indirect path towards cooler zones, which slows convective heat loss and maintains interior warmth. This mechanism delivers an improved thermal conductivity rating of 0.031 W/mK, outperforming standard 120mm expanded polystyrene alternatives.

Installation
The 120mm EPS boards are initially fixed to the substrate (masonry or timber) using mortar/adhesive, mechanical fixings, or a combination of both.
The 120mm expanded polystyrene boards should then be covered with an outer layer, such as siding or a mortar layer.
The outer surface of the board needs to be rasped or sanded to create an abrasive surface before covering it with fiber mesh, to which the base coat or mortar layer is applied.
