EWI Pro's Acrylic Render EWI-010 is a robust and aesthetically refined finish designed to protect and enhance external walls. As a thin-coat decorative finish for EWI systems, this acrylic render features a 1.5mm grain size that creates a textured surface with visual depth. Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, EWI-010 performs optimally on most substrates. However, it is not recommended for thermal wall insulation systems incorporating hard mineral wool panels or on moisture-prone surfaces such as fresh cellular concrete. For these applications, we suggest pairing EWI-040 Silicone Silicate render with our mineral wool insulation systems.

Important: When applying render to large wall areas, select colours with a brightness coefficient (diffuse reflection) of at least 20%. These values are detailed in the EWI Pro colour palette.

Application

The EWI Acrylic Render System can be applied manually or by spray, offering flexibility in installation methods. For hand application, employ a notched trowel to achieve thickness matching the grain size. Ensure sufficient workforce availability to complete full wall sections in one application phase, preventing visible joint lines where sections meet.

For a consistent, textured finish, use a plastic float to work the render surface with gentle circular motions. This technique promotes even coverage and enhances the aesthetic quality of the finished surface.
