EWI-010 Acrylic Render Clay Finish

The EWI Pro Acrylic Render EWI-010 is a robust polymer-modified thin-coat render designed to protect and enhance external wall insulation systems. This flexible coating delivers outstanding impact resistance and durability, whilst offering aesthetic versatility through a wide range of customisable colours (contact us for colour mixing details).

Supplied with a 1.5mm grain size, this acrylic render creates a textured surface finish suitable for both interior and exterior applications. However, it is not recommended for use with hard mineral wool panels or on moisture-prone substrates such as fresh cellular concrete. For these applications, EWI-040 Silicone Silicate render paired with mineral wool insulation systems is the preferred choice.

Caution: When applying render to large wall elevations, select colours with a brightness coefficient (diffuse reflection) of at least 20%. These values are detailed in the EWI Pro plaster and paint colour palette.

Application

The EWI Acrylic Render System can be applied manually or by spray. For hand application, employ a notched trowel to achieve thickness matching the grain size. Ensure sufficient labour is present to complete full wall sections in one session, preventing visible joint lines where sections meet.

For a consistent textured finish, use a plastic float to work the render surface in circular motions. This technique promotes uniform coverage and enhances the final appearance.
