BEWI Claymaster works by wrapping pile caps with a pink EPS insulation layer that reduces pressure on ground beams as surrounding clay expands and contracts with moisture changes.

This lightweight, straightforward-to-install board measures 2400mm x 1200mm and delivers long-lasting protection against clay heave and foundation issues caused by moisture-related soil movements.

Shrinkable clays contain high concentrations of mineral particles under 0.002mm in diameter, forming a stable soil when wet but developing a cracked, brittle structure when dry. The resulting expansion and contraction during wet and dry cycles—known as 'clay heave'—can create serious foundation problems.

EPS insulation from BEWI Claymaster comes in convenient thicknesses of 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm (150mm, 200mm and 300mm available to order), covering the most common on-site requirements.
